Lasagne


Lasagna

Serves 6 to 8


1 (8oz) package lasagna noodles (cooked)

1 lb mozzarella cheese, grated

1 (16oz) carton ricotta or cottage cheese (depends on who I'm making it for) - mixed with 2 eggs and 1 TBSP parsley

1 lb ground round (cooked and crumbled)


Add to cooked meat:

4 (15oz) cans tomato sauce

1 TBSP sweet basil leaves

2 TBSP garlic powder

1 tsp sugar


Layer in 8x12” pan: noodles, cottage cheese mixture, tomato sauce, then mozzarella cheese. Repeat for 2-3 layers. Bake uncovered for 20-30 minutes at 375 degrees F.


*For Spinach variation: Add 1 (10oz) package of frozen spinach, thawed and drained, 1/2 c. sautéed onion and 2-3 sautéed chopped or crushed garlic cloves to the cottage cheese mixture and leave ground round out of the tomato sauce. Bake for one hour.
