Penuche Frosting

This Penuche frosting is like a toasted brown sugar masterpiece!

1/2 cup melted butter

1 cup dark brown sugar

1/4 cup half and half

1-3/4 cup powdered sugar


  • In a medium saucepan over low heat cook butter and brown sugar for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Add half and half. Bring to a boil and remove from the heat. Cool to room temperature.
  • Whip caramel mixture and powdered sugar in a stand mixer.
  • Use immediately!
